A dozen Perry High School art students exhibited their paintings, drawings and sculpture in the third annual PHS fine arts reception Friday in the PHS Brady Library.

The artists exhibiting their work were Brian Amaya, Mariah Duffy, Anna England, Zoe Gordon, Emma King, Victoria Hegstrom, Javier Miranda, Kyle Neuhalfen, Paige Peitzman, Htwar Reh, Anna Saenz and Carigan Studer.

“The Art–See Show of junior and senior portfolios was a huge success as usual,” said Perry Community School District Superintendent Lynn Ubben. “What a fun night to show off our artists. The talent is unbelievable.”

The reception and exhibition showcased the work of PHS fine art students and gave their friends, family, parents and other supporters of artists and lovers of art a chance to enjoy light refreshments and music by local band Exit 113, featuring PHS art instructor Jill Belgarde on vocals.

“I thought this was a good way to show my appreciation for my students and share the fine arts with the community,” Belgarde said.
