Proving you are never too little for lasagna at Saturday night's Trinity Lutheran Church were Brenna Wolken, left, and her sister, Jozie Wolken, both 2, of Perry.

The enticing savor of garlic welcomed diners in the warm vestibule of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Perry, where a lasagna dinner was served prior to a round of games.

The Rev. Ken Bose, pastor of Trinity Lutheran, greeted friends and visitors while setting out the garlic bread and the dessert brownies. A tossed green salad complimented the pasta dish.

Bose said he will shift to a semi-retirement schedule beginning April 1, when he moves to Jefferson and comes to Perry on Sundays to preach and on other days as special pastoral duties demand.

Bose also said he will be giving more time to his retail store, Skeeter Creek Fabricators, at 104 E. State St. on the square in Jefferson. Handmade bird houses and cigar-box banjos are among Bose’s notable lines of goods.
