Renowned ufologist Bev Trout, standing, brought listeners up to date Sunday at Forest Park Museum with the latest sightings of UFOs in central Iowa.

Noted UFO investigator Bev Trout discussed the freshest cases of UFO sightings Sunday in her lecture at Forest Park Museum.

Trout gave particular attention to anecdotal stories from Ardy Sixkiller Clarke’s 2012 book, “Encounters with Star People: Untold Stories of American Indians.” The richness and detail of the stories of Native American interactions with extraterrestrial beings — called by them star people — kept the Forest Park audience spellbound.

About 25 people attended the 45-minute lecture, which was followed by a question-and-answer session.

“She’s extremely interesting,” said Pete Malmberg, Dallas County Conservation Board historical and cultural resources coordinator and curator of the Forest Park Museum. “Her research is impeccable, and people really seem to love her stories, which are always right up to date. She keeps on top of UFOs.”

Trout has investigated UFO sightings in Iowa for more than 23 years and been a featured speaker at numerous ufological events around the U.S. She has authored numerous articles in UFO publications.
