JEFFERSON – UnityPoint at Home introduced Monday two new staff members and a new clinical supervisor in the company’s Jefferson branch office, staff additions intended to “bolster the office’s ability to provide excellent services focused on restoring or maintaining the health of area residents in their homes,” a UnityPointy spokesperson said.
Sarah Borgeson of Rippey and Kim Tasler of Jefferson have been hired as home care nurses. Borgeson has 21 years of nursing experience and has worked in several hospital-based departments, most recently providing public health care coordination services.
Tasler, in her 31-year nursing career, has provided public health home care services, worked as a staff nurse and served as a nursing leader in many hospital-based departments.
Borgeson and Tasler will join UnityPoint home care nurse Kim Clark, who has more than 20 years’ experience in public health services and has been with UnityPoint for two years.
“I am glad to have our agency fully staffed and look forward to working with these skilled caregivers,” said Clark.
Linda Smith has assumed the role of the clinical supervisor in the Jefferson branch. Smith brings over 23 years of home care nursing experience, as well as supervisory experience, to her clinical supervisor role.
Prior to joining UnityPoint at Home twoyears ago a home care nurse, Smith served in the Greene County Public Health Department as a home care program manager.
Smith commented, “I am pleased to lead our branch office in our mission to serve area residents with professional home care,” Smith said, “including nursing, therapy and home care aide services. Our team members each present proven skills, considerable home care experience and a strong desire to serve patients well.”
