Southbound traffic on U.S. Highway 169 from the Adel area can now access the westbound on ramp of U.S. Interstate 80, according to law enforcement radio traffic received shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday.
The roadway was closed about 3 p.m. after a multi-vehicle accident at U.S. Highway 169 and U.S. Interstate 80.
The identities of victims and circumstances of the mishap have not been revealed by law enforcement. Unconfirmed reports say the accident occurred at about the same spot where West Des Moines Police Officer Shawn Miller was killed in August 2016.
