W-G golfers play nine at Odgen

The Woodward-Granger boys had their season end Monday with a loss to Interstate-35.

OGDEN — Host Ogden claimed both sides of a meet Friday, topping Woodward-Granger and Madrid in boys action and W-G in girls play (Madrid does not have a full girls squad).

Ogden shot a 180 in the boys meet, with W-G at 197 and Madrid at 198, with the Bulldogs topping the Hawks, 210-252, in girls competition.

Nick Brummond (44), Coby Peters (45), Matt Buch (50) and Nick Buch (54) scored for W-G. Max Helbling (58) and Trey Lettow (63) also played, but did not have their scores used.

Keaton Kirby was runner-up medalist in leading Madrid with a 43. Jacob Meeker (44), Jacob Loew (54) and Trent Larsen (55) also scored, with Tyler Lawrenson (56) and Colton Eccles (57) playing as well.

Ogden was led by Jacob Kathman’s medalist 40, with Preston Gronseth (45), Jade Thompson (47), Jade Thompson (48) scoring. Seth Thompson (48) and Jacob Hildreth (49) also competed for the hosts.

Maranda Wheelock was the low scorer for the girls with a 47, with Ogden teammates Kayla Walker (52), Ashton Boggess (54) and Shaylie Johannsen (57) scoring as well. Emma Blair (61) and Faith Mohr (62) were also in action.

Cierra DeHoet fired a 49 to finish as runner-up medalist for W-G. She was joined in scoring by Aubrey Mescher (58), Emily Trewet (68) and Megan Burkhart (77), with Bailey Thompson (85) playing for W-G as well.

Malorie Smith (63) was the lone golfer in action for the Madrid girls.
