STATE CENTER — Thursday’s visit to West Marshall — once upon a time a conference foe when both schools were in the HOIAC — proved little challenge for the Woodward-Granger wrestlers, who topped the hosts, 65-18, and Waterloo Columbus Catholic, 66-15.

West Marshall was a 42-21 winner over Columbus in the other dual.

Dustin Harney (138 pounds) and Jon McKeever each had two wins by fall at the triangular, with Colt Palmer (132) 2-0 with a win by pin and another by technical fall.

Winning once by pin and also by forfeit were Gabe Yingst (160), Cale Pritchett (170), Kade Polich (182), Cody Fisher (220) and Tyler Lawrenson (285). Joel Harney (106) and Aidan Honkomp (113) were also both 2-0, with each winning twice by forfeit.

Dilynn Lewiston (126) was 1-1 with a victory by pin, with Nathaniel Rosen (195) 1-1 after receiving a forfeit. Matthew White (120) and Jayden Dorenkamp (145) were also in action, but unable to find victory against either foe.

W-G will compete Saturday at the Interstate-35 Invitational before taking a long drive north to visit Algona Jan. 24.
