DES MOINES — The routes to the state tournament for all girls basketball teams in Classes 1A, 2A and 3A have been released by the IGHSAU. Class 4A and 5A teams will have to wait a few more days to have their paths revealed.
Panorama and Woodward-Granger could meet in the second round, as both are paired in the top half of the 2A Region 7 bracket.
W-G (7-9) will visit Madrid (6-8) Feb. 9, with the winner to travel to No. 8 Panorama (14-1) Feb. 12. Southwest Valley (10-5) hosts AC/GC (9-8) Feb. 9, with the victor to play host Nodaway Valley (9-6) Feb. 12 in the other quarterfinal of the top half. The Feb. 12 winners will meet Feb. 15 in ADM.
Ogden (8-6) hosts South Hamilton (4-11) Feb. 9, the winner to visit No. 10 Dike-New Hartford (11-2) Feb. 12 while Van Meter (11-3) will host the Feb. 9 winner of West Central Valley (4-11) at Earlham (10-6) Feb. 9. The Feb. 12 victors will meet of Feb. 15 in Huxley.
The Region 7 Final will be played Feb. 18 in either Waukee or Johnston.
All rankings and records are as of Jan. 24. All games will begin at 7 p.m.
