LEON — Poor weather erased roughly half of Monday’s Central Decatur Coed Relays, a meet which included both squads from Woodward-Granger.

The W-G girls won the 4×800 in 10 minutes, 45.04 seconds, with Anna Tague, Josie Noland, Ava Petersen and Emma Drake running the event. Petersen, Olivia Sus and Emma and Mae Anderson were sixth in the shuttle hurdle in 1:18.54, with Sus, Noland, Brayten Ashman and Maddy Mann completing the distance medley in 5:07.12 while Darby Nixon, Macey Lisle, Gena Tague and McKenzie Dresback finished the sprint medley in 2:25.46.

Bella Milosevich was fifth, in 13:53.05, in the 3000, with Chloe Houge running the 100 dash in 14.23 seconds.

Kaydee Bennett added fourth-place points with a throw of 30 feet, 8-3/4 inches in the shot put, with Abby Pommrehn leaping 13’3 in the long jump.

The Hawk boys were also 4×800 victors, with Caleb Jones, Cale Pritchett, Cody Garland and Kaya Bowlsby teaming to finish in 8:55.33. Fourth place was earned by Kade Polich, Logan Roll, Reese Jamison and Dylan Bird, who completed the sprint medley in 1:44.94 while Keith Braunschweig, Worth Henry, Tate Lettow and Bowlsby crossed fifth in the shuttle hurdle in 1:13.39.

Polich and Roll were 4-5 in the 100 in 11.92 and 12 seconds, respectively, with Xavier Ibarra and Dylan Steele 3-4 in the 3200 in 11:47.47 and 12:17.34.

Bryce Achenbach and Bird placed 4-5 in the long jump at 19’10-3/4 and 19’7-1/4, with Kris Kammerer competing in the shot put (33’10-1/4) and Justin Wheeler the discus (93’9).

W-G will return to action — weather permitting — in their Class 2A State Qualifying meet in State Center Thursday. Winners and runner-up finishers in each event qualify for the state meet, as will the eight next-best finishers state-wide.
