A Waukee man was arrested Monday on a Dallas County warrant in connection with a July 2023 incident in which investigators allegedly found videos of child pornography in his possession.
Ronnie DeWayne Hayes, 48, of 760 N.E. Horizon Dr., Waukee, was charged with five counts of first-offense purchase/possess depiction of minor in a sex act.
The videos depicted prepubescent children under the age of 12, according to court records.
A warrant for Hayes’ arrest was ordered April 12 in Dallas County District Court and served April 15. Hayes was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $25,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 26 in Dallas County District Court.
