PANORA — Des Moines Christian overwhelmed their competition to win the WCAC boys golf championship Tuesday at Lake Panorama National.

DMC’s four scorers posted the first, second, third and ninth lowest scores to help the Lions use only 321 strokes. Van Meter (363), Panorama (365) and Ogden (367) were tightly bunched at 2-3-4, with Earlham fifth at 380. West Central Valley (396), Madrid (397), Woodward-Granger (415) and AC/GC (429) completed the field.

Drew Shisler (73), Nate Juffer and Matt Wynne (both 80) led DMC and claimed the top three medalist spots, with Tommy Weissenburger (88) ninth overall for the Lions.

Panorama’s Wyatt Appleseth fired an 85 to lead the hosts, a score that tied for fifth-best. Kolby Shackelford was seventh overall with an 86, with Jacob Iseminger (95) and Dylan Douglass (99) also scoring for the Panthers.

Lucas Leiferman (101) and Ryan Klinge (102) also played 18 holes for Panorama, but their scores were not compiled for the team final.

Trey Lettow’s 100 led W-G, with Hunter Pierce carding a 101. Max Helbling had a 106, with Nick Brummond shooting 108, as did Coby Peters. Matt Buch also played, but his 111 was not used for the Hawk team total.
