WCV posts twin wins over Panorama baseball

STUART — Thursday’s WCAC baseball doubleheader finished with West Central Valley claiming a pair of two-run victories over Panorama.

The Wildcats (14-8, 12-6) posted wins of 6-4 and 2-0 over the Panthers (3-16, 3-14). Panorama faces the Woodward Academy Wednesday and visits Glidden-Ralston Thursday, with WCV hosting Winterset Thursday to cap the regular season for both teams.

Despite the games being played Thursday, only limited statistical information was available from either team.

Panorama had five hits in the 2-0 loss, with Luke South, Tanner Godfrey, Levi Richey, Jacob Iseminger and Jeramy Randol each had singles for the Panthers.

Godfrey had two singles and drive in a run in the 6-4 loss. Richey, Iseminger and Randol also had base hits, with Randol and Koltin Sloss each scoring once. Dylan Douglass scored twice, provided a single and drove in a run.

South pitched 5-1/3 innings and Randol 1-1/3. No further information was provided.
