Perry High School cheerleaders found the downtown cool and quiet Sunday morning when they washed away the 2019 Homecoming window paintings.
The dozen students were assisted by Dave Barkley and Jason Bane, members of the Perry Volunteer Fire Department, who rolled out a tanker truck and wildfire vehicle to wet the windows and rinse off the remainder.
PHS Cheerleading Coach Kimberly Wollesen Herrera said it is always a little sad to wash away the catchy and clever images and slogans that have so short a lifespan.
“But there’s always next year,” Wollesen Herrera said, with cheerful Bluejay pride.
