DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds was taken to an emergency room Thursday after experiencing chest pain, according to a statement released from the governor’s office.
The governor received medical attention “out of an abundance of caution,” the statement said, including blood tests, chest x-rays and an electrocardiogram (EKG) test.
The tests were all normal, and the 59-year-old mother of three resumed her official duties in the Iowa Capitol, the statement said.
