Tornado warning issued for Perry area at 4:15 a.m.

The National Weather Service office in Johnston issued a tornado warning for the Perry area until 5 a.m. Friday.

The Perry storm sirens were activated at 4:15 a.m.

A tornado was reported over Lake Panorama and moving eastward at 45 mph.

Radar-indicated rotation was observed, the NWS said. A tornado and quarter size hail are possible.

Flying debris will be dangerous to people without shelter. Mobile homes could be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles could occur. Tree damage is likely.
