Two SUVs collided on Iowa Highway 144 near South Street in Perry about 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Airbags deployed in the vehicles, and Dallas County EMS paramedics were seen examining the occupants, who did not appear to be seriously injured.
Each vehicle was a Ford SUV, and each appeared to sustain damage to its front right quarter.
The circumstances of the mishap are under investigation at this hour by officers of the Perry Police Department.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office also responded and provided traffic control at the busy intersection in front of a local fast food restaurant.
