The National Weather Service (NWS) in Des Moines has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for southwestern Dallas County, northwestern Madison County, southern Guthrie County and Adair County until 3:45 p.m. p.m. Tuesday.
At 2:58 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles west of Stuart or 12 miles northwest of Greenfield and moving east at 35 mph.
Wind gusts of 60 mph and penny size hail are reported.
Locations impacted include Greenfield, Stuart, Earlham, Redfield, Adair, Dexter, Casey,
Diamondhead Lake, Menlo, Greenfield Municipal Airport and Nodaway Park. This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 73 and 104.
