A driver escaped with minor injuries early Thursday after rolling her vehicle near the Northern Natural Gas plant south of Perry.
The Ford Taurus left the roadway in the 16500 block of Iowa Highway 44 about 3:15 a.m. Thursday and came to rest upside down on top of a barbed wire fence on the south side of the highway.
The driver was briefly trapped in the overturned vehicle until a passing motorist stopped and assisted in extricating the driver, according to radio traffic.
The accident is under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.
The Adel First Responders, Adel Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS also responded.
