One man was privately transported to the Dallas County Hospital about 9:30 p.m. Saturday after wrecking his motorcycle in the 2100 block of Lucinda Street.
The vehicle was apparently standing upright on its kickstand on the sidewalk just east of 11th Street when officers of the Perry Police Department and Dallas County Sheriff’s office arrived on the scene.
The circumstances of the accident, which appeared to cause considerable damage to the two-wheeler, are under investigation at this hour. Law enforcement could be seen taking statements from nearby residents.
Radio traffic indicated the driver was examined at the Dallas County Hospital before being transferred to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
