A Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck struck a large buck near the 141 mile marker of westbound Iowa Highway 141 Saturday shortly before 11 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The driver was issued a deer tag for the luckless victim, and the passenger was transported to a Woodward residence by an officer of the Woodward Police Department.
A private tow service towed the truck, in which air bags had deployed.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s office and Woodward Volunteer Fire Department also responded.
